Prevalence of sulphadoxine-pyrimethamine (SP) treatment failure and molecular markers
of resistance to SP at five sites in Tanzania. Ratios of prevalence of the DHFR triple mutant to SP treatment failure ranged from
2.0 to 2.1 at four of the five sites where SP resistance was low or moderate, suggesting
that this molecular marker could serve as a reliable surrogate for SP efficacy at
