Anti-malarial activity of geldanamycin derivatives in mice infected with Plasmodium yoelii Rubul Mout, Zhi-Dong Xu, Angela KH Wolf, Vincent JO Davisson, Gotam K Jarori Malaria Journal 2012, 11:54 (23 February 2012) Geldanamycin, a benzoquinone ansamycin antibiotic has been shown in vitro to possess anti-plasmodial activity. Its pharmacological activity is attributed to its ability to inhibit parasite heat shock protein.
