Darren J Obbard, John J Welch, Tom J Little Malaria Journal 2009, 8:117 (4 June 2009) The authors have analysed sequence data from 32 loci, 16 serpins and 16 "control" genes in species of the Anopheles gambiae complex. The study was designed to infer selection patterns on serpins which, unlike in Drosophila, does not seem to occur in any of the species of the complex.
