Marked inequity persists with the poorest households still experiencing the highest risk of malaria and the lowest ITN coverage. Abolition of this inequity within the foreseeable future is likely to require mass interventions.

Utilization of insecticide-treated nets by under-five children in Nigeria: Assessing progress towards the Abuja targets

Despite a substantial increase in ITN utilization among children under five years of age in Nigeria, numbers are still far from the Abuja targets (11.5% for nets overall, 1.7% for ITNs).
