(20 January 2006) International Water Management Institute More recent maps of P.vivax and P.falciparum incidence distribution and trends by district were published in January 2005 in the article "Maps of the Sri Lanka malaria situation preceding the tsunami and key aspects to be considered in the emergency phase and beyond" (http://www.malariajournal.com/content/4/1/8). Note that the updated incidence maps show only incidence for the period January 2004 to October 2004 and inclusive, and therefore not the entire year.
