Determinants of relapse periodicity in Plasmodium vivax malaria

A review describing current and, more importantly, past (and forgotten) understanding of the biology of relapse in P. vivax malaria. It provides a welcome treasure trove of citations to that older literature, in addition to putting forth an interesting new hypothesis worthy of testing, i.e., activation of hypnozoites by febrile illness.
